Product Description
Si Fe/Ferro Silicon alloy is a kind of ferroalloy which is composed of ferro and silicon.
Ferrosilicon uses coke, quartz (or silica) as raw materials and is made by electric furnace.
Because silicon and oxygen are easily compound into SiO2, the ferrosilicon is oftenused
as deoxidizer in steelmaking.Because the silicon is easy to combine with oxygen to form
silicon dioxide, so time of ferrosilicon is often used in steelmaking deoxidizer, because of
SiO2 is generated at the same time gives off a lot of heat, at the same time of DNA, to
improve the temperature of molten steel is also good. Ferrosilicon, meanwhile, also can be
used as an alloy element joining agent, widely used in low alloy structural steel, spring
steel, bearing steel, heat-resistant steel and electrical silicon steel, silicon in the ferroalloy production and chemical industry, commonly used as a reducing agent.

1. In the steel making field, ferrosilicon is used as deoxidizer and alloying agent to precipit
and diffuse deoxidation. Adding a certain amount silicon of Fe-Si to the steel can obviously improve the strength, hardness, elasticity and permeability of steel.
2. In the iron casting, it is used as ball mile agent and alloying agent especially in the nodular
iron casting, Adding ferrosilicon to cast iron, it can prevent the formation of carbide and promote the precipitation of graphite and the nodulizing, then the mechanical capacity can

4. In addition , ferrosilicon powder can be used as a suspended phase in the mineral processing industry and coatings for welding electrodes in the electrode manufactruing.
