Product Overview

Nickel sulphate, also known as nickel barium, is a blue or green crystal that is an important nickel salt and soluble in ethanol and ammonia. There are three types of nickel sulfate crystals in the natural world: anhydrous, hexahydrate, and heptahydrate. The products sold on the market are mainly hexahydrate, including two types of α and β crystals, α-type blue and green tetragonal crystals, and β-type. Green transparent crystal, slightly soluble in alcohol, soluble in methanol. Mainly used in electroplating industry, it is the main nickel salt of electroplating nickel and electroless nickel, and also the source of metallic nickel ions. It can dissociate nickel ions and sulfate ions during electroplating. In the production of hardened oils, it is a catalyst for the hydrogenation of oils and fats. The pharmaceutical industry is used to produce a catalyst for the oxidation of vitamin C. The inorganic industry is used as the main raw material for the production of other nickel salts such as nickel ammonium sulfate, nickel oxide, nickel carbonate, and the like. Printing and dyeing industry used to find the production of Yanqing blue complexing agent, used as a vat dye dyeing agent. In addition, it can also be used to produce nickel-cadmium batteries.

Application

1, used in electroplating industry, is the main nickel salt of electroplating nickel and electroless nickel, and is also the source of metallic nickel ion. It can dissociate nickel ion and sulfate ion during electroplating process.
2. Hardening oil is a catalyst for the hydrogenation of oils and fats.
3, The catalyst used in the pharmaceutical industry to produce vitamin C oxidation.
4, used in inorganic industry for the production of other nickel salts such as: nickel sulfate, nickel oxide, nickel hydroxide, nickel carbonate and so on.
5, In the printing and dyeing industry, nickel sulfate is used to make the mordant of phthalocyanine blue complexing agent and vat dye.
Among the above-mentioned applications in many industries, it is the largest in terms of electroplating, electroless plating, and rechargeable batteries.
Nickel sulfate is dissolved in water and replaced with iron or zinc to form iron sulfate or zinc and metallic nickel. However, nickel tends to cover the surface of iron or zinc and affect the further reaction. The displaced nickel or other components should be gradually removed, so that the displaced nickel is in a loose state without affecting further reaction.
